This tour was great, largely made so by our driver, Dave. He was both friendly and knowledgable, not over sharing historical and local information at timely points. The points of interest were fascinating, from the immense views of the Black River Gorges to the Seven Coloured Earths of Chamarel, to name a few. One slight criticism was the souvenir shop visits, the continuous ‘following’ and soft pressure from the assistants to buy something was unnecessary. All said and done, Dave really made our day one that was very worth while, especially with the inclement weather that we encountered! Keep up the great work!

Begin your 8-hour day of adventure on Mauritius with convenient pick-up at your hotel anywhere on the island. Pick-up time varies according to your location On this scenic trip around the south of the island, you will discover spectacular changes of scenery, revealing some of the island’s unique natural assets. The day starts with a stop at the Shop of Ship Models, where you can see skilled craftsmen at work on ship miniatures, some of which take months to complete. Enjoy a 360-degree view over the island from Trou aux Cerfs, admire Grand Basin Lake, then travel to a viewpoint over Black River Gorges National Park. Arrive at Chamarel Waterfall, the country's tallest, which plunges 328 feet (100 meters) against a natural backdrop and makes for impressive photos. Finally, see the famous Seven Coloured Earth, a rainbow of striated volcanic rocks.   End your full day of exploration with drop-off back at your hotel.
