The first part of the walk is a descent through sandy secondary forests of cinnamon and rubber trees. As the trail climbs higher, many endemic and indigenous plant species can be encountered. It is also the habitat of Seychelles’ endemic birds, such as the Seychelles bulbul, blue pigeon, and sunbird.

Thanks to the lack of soil and harsh conditions of the landscape’s exposed glacier, it has its own special vegetation of endemic plants, including the vacoa (pandanus multispicatus) and the infamous pitcher plant (nepenthes bervillei).

From the top of the trail, get unbeatable views over the east coast of Mahé, the islands of the St.Anne National Marine Park, and beyond to Praslin and La Digue islands. After making your return, relax on the drive back to your accommodation.
