Tour organized wonderfully. Starting from booking at every stage excellent contact with the organizer. Despite the fact that we had to leave the port, we felt safe - the organizers were already waiting for us. Jhoana is super-sympathetic, she made sure we felt comfortable. Unfortunately, the weather was not good for us, we found a downpour, but thanks to the fact that there was no shortage of tequila and fruit, the bad impressions were erased 😉. Pick up at Costa Maya
You will be picked up outside of the Costa Maya cruise ship terminal, it is very importante to follow instructions shown in the following link to meet your tour guide: https://bacalarexperiences.com/how-to-find-us/

Travel to Chacchoben - 50 minutes
You’ll step aboard our air conditioned vehicle that will take you to the ancient mayan city of Chacchoben.

Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour - 1 hour
Uncover the mysteries of the ancient mayans as you walk through the buildings and structures of Chacchoben. Weave through the winding, natural paths and experience the grandeur of this exciting archaeological site.

Travel to Bacalar - 30 minutes
After the mayan ruins it will be time to relax in Bacalar, we’ll ride to our beautiful marina right on the Bacalar Lagoon.

Boat Tour - 2 hours
We’ll cruise out in our pontoon boat for relaxation and pampering by our attentive crew as you take in captivating views of Bacalar that will leave you breathless, where you will have the opportunity to splash in the clear waters of this stunning lagoon. As soon as we start our adventure in the lagoon you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why is frequently referred as the 7 color lagoon. During the tour our crew will prepare a delicious and healthy fruit snack that will be perfect for the occasion.

Taco Lunch - 40 minutes
After we are done with our boat tour we will take you to our favorite restaurant to enjoy some delicious and authentic mexican tacos (pork, beef or shrimp) served along guacamole. (We have vegetarian and vegan options upon request).

Back to Costa Maya - 1 hour
Finally we will take you back to port Costa Maya on time to board your ship.

Meeting point

At the Costa Maya cruise-ship terminal, only cruise lines operate inside the complex. Unfortunately, local tour companies like Bacalar Experiences cannot offer pickup services or have representatives within the port. To join our excursions, you’ll need to exit the complex and meet us just outside the port area, We’ll ensure you’re safely returned to the main gate of the port complex. To locate us, refer to the detailed instructions, Google map link, and image map provided in your excursion’s email confirmation. Kindly note that while we provide information on finding us for your booked excursion, we do not sell excursion tickets at this location. 1. Disembark and walk to the terminal building, heading to the entrance arch. 2. Walk past the shops toward the street exit, passing under the tower for the quickest way out. 3. After crossing port security, you’ll find our company representative.
