Full description

Discover the oldest colonial city of the Philippines by experiencing the charm of old Cebu and its most famous landmark, Magellan's Cross. The cross was first planted in 1521 to mark the spot where the native Filipinos were baptized into the Catholic faith. The next stop is the Fort San Pedro, which was the nucleus of the first Spanish settlement in the country and now has been turned into a museum park. The tour will then continue to visit the St. Nino Church, Hertigate Monument, Yap-San Diego Ancestral House, and the Taoist Temple (temporarily closed) at Beverly Hills. The final stop will be the handicraft stores for your shopping enjoyment.

My tour guide Belle and driver Julius were great. We covered 6 places in the inner Cebu City total. It was really nice to have an AC transport between the places, which each took about 10-15min to get to. We were moving throughout the tour pretty quickly, so push your shoes on. Bring an umbrella / fan to create a little shade for yourself at some places.

The Cebu tour was a delightful blend of history and comfort. Our guide, LizAnn, was professional and amiable, illuminating the rich past of various local spots with deft expertise. The journey, in a pristine, air-conditioned vehicle, added to the relaxed experience. However, the tour did not include shopping as indicated. Yet, the educational and engaging itinerary made up for it. An enjoyable, worthwhile escapade, indeed! Thanks to LizAnn for her knowledge and commendable guidance.

De gids Thanny en chauffeur zijn supervriendelijk en attent. Ze weet veel te vertellen en is ook geïnteresseerd in ons land en onze cultuur. We deden de tour op 26 december dus weinig verkeer op de weg, hierdoor waren we uiteindelijk drie uur onderweg ipv de geplande 4 uur. We hebben niet gewinkeld en dit hebben we ook niet gemist. In verhouding was de prijs van de tour wel aan de hoge kant gezien het lokale prijspeil. Echter zeker de moeite waard om in korte tijd de highlights van de stad te zien zonder zelf de weg te moeten vinden.
