Europe

The United Kingdom

 
Can I travel to the U.K?
The entry restrictions have been lifted. However, a 14-day quarantine is still mandatory. New travelers may be contacted to verify compliance. Travelers coming from Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man are exempted from this rule.
 
Can I travel domestically in the U.K?
Yes, you can travel inside the United Kingdom and visit open spaces at any distance, but remember to follow the sanitary and social distancing rules wherever you go. Generally, the national parks are open but it is always a good idea to double check before visiting, in order to avoid any inconvenience.
 
What are the restrictions on restaurants, bars and sightseeing in the U.K?
Restaurants, bars, hotels and other venues are now allowed to open in areas where the infection risk is low. Outdoor gatherings are now permitted up to 30 people if the participants are just from 2 households. Otherwise the limit is 6 people. Nightclubs, casinos, and swimming pools are still closed.
 
Can I leave the U.K?
Yes, the borders are open. However, many flights have been suspended so there are limited options to leave the country.
 
If I travel to the U.K, will I need to quarantine?
Yes, all residents and visitors are required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon entry, unless coming from Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. England will ease restrictions for 59 countries on July 10.

England has announced that quarantine will not be imposed anymore for visitors from 59 countries, beginning July 10. The US, India, Russia and China are not included.
 
Can I return to the U.K. without quarantine?
No, all travelers and residents arriving in the U.K. are required to self-quarantine for 14 days, unless coming from Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, where they have been for at least 14 days.
 
Can I bring relatives to visit me in the U.K.?
The Government requires all international arrivals to disclose information about their contact and accommodation. In addition, all travelers need to self-isolate for 14 days. Where international travelers are unable to demonstrate where they would self-isolate, they will be required to do so in accommodation arranged by the Government. The rules apply to all travelers, including relatives, unless they are coming from Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Germany

 
Can I travel to Germany?
Yes, restrictions have been lifted for EU and Schengen countries and the UK. From July 2, travelers coming from the following non-EU countries are welcomed to Germany: Australia, Georgia, Canada, Montenegro, New Zealand, Thailand, Tunisia, and Uruguay.
 
Can I travel domestically in Germany?
Yes, but social distancing requirements (including the 1,5-metre rule) are in place across the whole country.

Yes, the borders are open for touristic purposes for travelers coming from the European area (EU, Schengen area and the UK). Yes, the domestic travel ban has been lifted. It is mandatory to wear a mask when using public transportation.

Bangladesh

Brunei

Nepal

Benin

All new arrivals must take a COVID-19 test and be isolated for up to 48 hours or until the result is confirmed to be negative. Anguilla

Antigua and Barbuda

All sea travel to the islands is forbidden, except for the domestic ferry and any vessels granted specific permission. Some flights are available. Legal residents are allowed to enter the country, except if they have been in high-risk regions within 28 days. All arrivals must quarantine in designated facilities.

Aruba

Borders are now open for visitors coming from Europe, Canada, and some Caribbean countries. US citizens should be able to enter Aruba from July 10.

Bahamas

All international and inter-island travel is banned. Transiting passenger ships may only resupply on weekdays. Most accommodations are closed or limited.

Barbados

Commercial air travel is forbidden until July 11. Any arrivals must self-isolate for 14 days. Beaches are open, with social distancing.

Belize

All borders and international flights are closed.

Bermuda

All personal travel to Bermuda is forbidden. Some essential transport of goods is permitted. Businesses are allowed to operate under sanitary regulations under the current Phase 2 of reopening, enacted on May 21, and will reopen to international visitors when authorities enact Phase 4.

Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba

Each island has different restrictions. Bonaire – Travelers with a negative test and valid insurance may enter. Flights from Europe should resume on July 1. Sint Eustatius – Travel from high-risk regions is not allowed. Travelers from medium-risk regions must self-isolate for 14 days. Saba – Only legal residents of this island are allowed to enter, and these must self-isolate for 14 days on arrival.

Cayman Islands

All international flights are banned, and any arrivals must quarantine for 14 days. If they are staying with family or roommates, these others must also quarantine for the duration.

Costa Rica

Travel to Costa Rica is restricted until July 31, with some exceptions, including legal residents who left the country before March 24. All who enter must take a medical test on arrival and self-isolate for 14 days.

Cuba

No air travel is permitted in or out of Cuba, and all foreign watercraft must leave as soon as it is medically or technically possible, as permitted by government authorities.

Curacao

Only legal residents are allowed to enter the country, if they are granted specific permission by government authorities. There is a curfew between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., enforced with fines. Standard social distance regulations apply in public spaces otherwise.

Dominica

Only legal residents are allowed into Dominica at this time.

Dominican Republic

Commercial flights are now available, but public activities are still limited. Masks are mandatory in public spaces.

El Salvador

Only legal residents of El Salvador are permitted to enter the country at this time, and must quarantine in a designated facility. Air travel is suspended, except for necessary transportation.

French West Indies

Travel certificates are required for all travel into French Overseas Territories. This form may be required before boarding, and it must be the original copy, not digital. Travelers are also required to undergo a health check on arrival, and will need to self-isolate if they test positive for COVID-19 symptoms.

Greenland

Greenland began a 3-phase reopening plan on June 15, and will progress between phases every 3 weeks. As of June 15, 600 people are allowed to enter per week, and must self-isolate immediately. They will be tested after 5 days, and released if they test negative for COVID-19 symptoms.

Grenada

All travel into Grenada is banned and enforced with penalties.

Guadeloupe

Travel certificates are required for all travel into French Overseas Territories. This form may be required before boarding, and it must be the original copy, not digital. Travelers are also required to undergo a health check on arrival, and will need to self-isolate if they test positive for COVID-19 symptoms.

Guatemala

Guatemala has closed all borders, permitting only legal residents to enter. All who enter must self-isolate for 15 days. Foreigners may exit the country, most notably through the Mexican border at El Carmen.

Haiti

All personal transportation in and out of Haiti is banned. Only some transportation of goods is allowed.

Honduras

All personal travel in and out of Honduras is banned. Some transportation of goods is allowed. Only essential businesses are open, and these must ensure distance and maximum occupancy standards.

Jamaica

Jamaica has opened borders for tourism, however, passengers must obtain a Travel Authorization before checking in for their flight. Tests might be done on arrival. The domestic traveling restrictions have been lifted, but a curfew between 11 P.M. – 5 A.M. is still in place until the end of July. Masks are mandatory in any public spaces, and gatherings are allowed up to 20 people. Hygiene measures are practiced in hotels and restaurants.

Martinique

Travel certificates are required for all travel into French Overseas Territories. This form may be required before boarding, and it must be the original copy, not digital. Travelers are also required to undergo a health check on arrival, and will need to self-isolate if they test positive for COVID-19 symptoms.

Montserrat

Nicaragua

There are no restrictions in place at this time.

Northern Mariana Islands

Travel is permitted, but travelers from high-risk countries must self-isolate for 14 days in a hotel. All arrivals must disembark in Saipan, and must complete their self-isolation there before continuing to other islands. They must also fill out a health form before arrival.

Panama

All flights are grounded until at least July 22. Only legal residents may enter over land borders, and must self-isolate for 14 days.

Puerto Rico

Entry by water is banned. Entry by air is possible, but subject to screening and mandatory self-isolation for 14 days.

Saint Kitts and Nevis

No travelers may enter until further notice. This includes legal residents.

Saint Lucia

Borders are closed, and ports are closed to cruise ships.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

There are no international flights until further notice. Ports are also not available to personal watercraft. All arrivals must self-quarantine at their own expense.

Sint Maarten

Only travelers specifically requested or permitted by the government are allowed to enter.

Trinidad and Tobago

There is no general entry permitted into the country at this time. Any travelers permitted to enter must self-isolate for 14 days.

Turks and Caicos

The Providenciales Airport is expected to reopen on July 22. The Grand Turk Cruise Center is expected to reopen on August 31.

South America

Argentina

International commercial flights are suspended until at least September 1. Quarantine was extended until at least July 17. Only legal residents are allowed to enter the country. Any arriving travelers from high-risk countries must self-isolate for 14 days or face potential penalties. If there are costs associated with the self-isolation, the government does not guarantee any coverage. Travelers are allowed to leave the country on limited available flights.

Bolivia

All international air travel and all borders are shut. Only legal residents, select professionals, and cargo transporters are allowed in. Quarantine is in effect until July 31. This means all people must keep a minimum distance and wear a mask when outside. Curfew is in effect from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on weekdays for pedestrians and vehicles, and all day on weekends for vehicles. People must stay within 500 meters of their residences.

Brazil

Only legal residents (or immediate family thereof) may enter the country until July 5, but all travelers may leave by air. Federal law enforcement will allow some travelers to enter Brazil for the purpose of transit or urgent medical care.

Chile

Borders are closed, and ports are closed to all cruise ships. All travelers to the country must self-isolate for 14 days. Non-essential travel is restricted, and a curfew is in place between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Gran Santiago and other comunas are under quarantine until July 10.

Colombia

All international travel and most domestic travel are banned. Any travelers arriving in Colombia must self-isolate for 14 days. State-wide quarantine is in place until July 1, requiring all residents to stay home. Those older than 70 must isolate until the end of August.

Ecuador

Only legal residents of Ecuador may enter at this time. Domestic air travel and all travel to the Galapagos Islands are restricted. Other domestic travel is also tightly regulated, with a nationwide curfew from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Falkland Islands

Cruise ship passengers may only enter the Falkland Islands provided the ship has been free of COVID-19 symptoms for at least 10 days. Air travelers must self-isolate for 14 days if they show COVID-19 symptoms.

French Guiana

All incoming international travel is banned, with the exception of returning nationals and other legal residents, and some medical or other necessary services.

Guyana

All international air travel is banned, with the exception of returning nationals and other legal residents, and specifically approved professional and medical flights.

Paraguay

All borders and airports are shut to international travel, with the exceptions of repatriation and some transported commercial goods. Any arriving travelers must quarantine for 14 days. Only legal residents are allowed to transit through the central airport in Asuncion.

Peru

All borders are closed indefinitely. Only essential businesses and services are allowed to operate, including dentistry, ophthalmology, rehabilitation services, and veterinary medicine. Certain maintenance and aesthetic practitioners are also permitted to serve people in their homes. People may also use private vehicles to procure food, medicine, and financial services within their districts of residence. Only one person per vehicle is allowed. Private vehicles may now also be used to transport people with urgent medical needs, as well as to perform any of the activities included in the Supreme Decree annex upon receipt of prior authorization from the Ministry of Defense or Ministry of Interior.

Suriname

Restrictions include enhanced medical screening and border closures, which is stopping people travelling into and out of the country and limiting those who wish to leave.

Uruguay

Uruguay’s borders are closed. No opening date has been given. Only legal citizens and residents of the country are allowed to enter the country, and must serve a 14-day quarantine. While the whole population is advised to self-isolate, only seniors over 65 are required to do so.

Venezuela

Most flight options in and out of Venezuela are unavailable at this time. Self-isolation for 14 days is officially advised for all travelers arriving in Venezuela.
