It’s been more than a year since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Traveling now is more complicated than it used to be, due to numerous restrictions, vaccinations, and other local factors. We admit that getting away is not easy, but it is by no means impossible! However, Morocco is still not fully open for tourism at the moment. We are all waiting for that day!

Who can visit Morocco right now?
Morocco is open only for Moroccan citizens, foreign permanent residents, and their families. Only repatriation flights are available at the moment.
 
Is a negative COVID-19 test required for entry in Morocco?
Yes, a negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours prior to the departure is mandatory for those with a right to entry. All new arrivals will also undergo a clinical examination.
 
Is quarantine mandatory for travelers entering Morocco?
Quarantine is not required, but it is very difficult to enter the country. However, everyone must download the tracking app ‘Wiqaytna’.
 
Is there any other special requirement before traveling?
Downloading the tracking app is mandatory. Please respect local policies and be aware that domestic travel is also restricted and that there is a nationwide curfew in place, between 9:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
 
Is domestic traveling allowed in Morocco?
Domestic travel is limited in Morocco. All provinces fall within 2 categories, depending on the level of risk. These categories are being updated weekly. An exceptional movement certificate may be required for domestic travel between provinces with higher risk levels.
 
Are there any special rules set in place regarding the pandemic?
Masks are mandatory in all public spaces.
