Barcelona

Barcelona must be Spain’s most glamorous city. La Rambla, stretching from the Plaça de Catalunya to the sea, is loved by tourists and locals alike. Antoni Gaudí, one of history’s great architects, designed many of the buildings that give the city its distinctive look, such as the Sagrada Familia, his spectacular and still-unfinished cathedral. Other treasures left by Gaudí include the Casa Batló and the breathtaking Park Güell, perched on a hill overlooking the city.

If you’re into sports, you’re in luck, because Camp Nou, home stadium of FC Barcelona, is the largest in Europe. The warm climate and picturesque setting makes Barcelona ideal for outdoor activities like bike tours or going to the beach. Culinary visits to its famous indoor markets, tapas restaurants, and wine cellars are also popular.
