For our world at home initiative, we’re bringing some of our best-loved tours and experiences to you. It’s our way of injecting a little of the joy of travel into your living room and of celebrating the amazing guides who make our travels incredible.

In this installment

Kurtis, host of the popular Berlin street art tour and graffiti workshop, shows us the basics of creating street art. You’ll learn how to make a simple stencil using a box cutter, tips to perfect your spray technique (“it’s called can control!”), and how to handle the aerosol can to produce different effects, like color blending.

All you’ll need to follow along is a box cutter, some cans of paint, cardboard (or a canvas), and a plastic tarp. And while we’d prefer not to hear stories of run-ins with the law while making your mark in public spaces, we would love to see how you got on. Let us know in the comments!

Be sure to check out our schedule of upcoming virtual tours and experiences! We’ve already done a fresh pasta-making workshop with an Italian chef, a private tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, and an up-close-and-personal with a Berlin drag queen. Plus, we’re adding new content every week.
