Full description

Enjoy the true art of Tapeo in this experience in which you will discover Spanish gastronomy from bar to bar visiting different neighborhoods.

The tour will start at the San Miguel square and head to La Latina, Cava Baja street, where most of the famous sites for Tapeo exist. There, taste traditional Spanish croquettes, particularly ham or even shellfish, of course, a good wine to pair.

The route will continue through different bars in the center of Madrid, where you taste typical mushroom tapas or Padrón peppers. Answer the important questions, why are some hot and others not? accompanied by a beer or cider.

Near the last stop, the tour arrives in the San Miguel Market, to taste the famous pintxos of Bilbao accompanied by a Txakoli glass. Afterward, walk through the Plaza Mayor and Barrio de las Letras, where famous poets and artists spent the best years of their lives.

The last tasting stop is a traditional meat cheek with mashed potatoes, paired with a good wine, preferably red. Can you think of a better ending than going up to a terrace with excellent views of Madrid to enjoy a drink?

Have fun and feel unique in your experience in a small group premium tour.

This experience was great! Jorge was an amazing guide, the information he provided us with about the food and the city was incredibly interesting. All the tapas bars chosen for this tasting were delicious and the accompanying wines and cocktails were a great match with the food. Totally recommend this tour!

Laura was one of the best tour guides I’ve had. She’s very knowledgeable of the area since she grew up in Madrid. We had a great time trying the different tapas and learning about the history of each location and neighborhood. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a small tapas group (<8 is better for tapas experience IMO). She also gave us tips on what restaurants in Madrid are authentic and good versus tourist traps, which I found useful.

We had a great time on our tour around Madrid. We made 4 stops for tapas/wine and a 5th stop at a rooftop bar in Madrid for a cocktail at sunset. We had a group of 11 folks from the US, Puerto Rico, and a bachelorette party group from Scotland and we all had a great time. Our tour guide, Lisa, was very knowledgeable about Spanish tapas culture and gave us a great tour of different neighborhoods of the city. She was also great about providing alternative options for tapas/drinks if people had allergies, didn't drink alcohol, or just didn't like the scheduled tapas choice at each bar.
