Great trip, loved Madrid. Our trip to Toledo and Segovia was worth the effort, long day ( around 10 hours) but worth it. I would recommend booking this trip instead of trying to do it yourself. When you get to either place you can stay with the tour guide or do your own thing then just meet up at the leaving place. El Escorial and Valley of the Fallen are also must do trips, again book this tour as its the best way to do it (around 5/6 hours). Tour guides were excellent and helpful.

It was expensive over all for that you could get from it The only way to make a real saving would be to do everything on it
