First, Steffi is an excellent guide with clearly understandable English and explained many, many details about the cities that I would not have known otherwise. Our time was a bit rushed in each city because of the large circular route taken by necessity to see the cities in the tour (from Madrid, Toledo is to the south and Segovia is to the north) so we were not able to spend much time seeing the cathedrals, for example, in either city. I think an hour should be added to the tour in toto to make for a more in-depth experience. Having said that, the tour does provide an excellent overview of each city.

It’s a long tour and I am glad I did not do Avila as it would be exhausting. Steffi was a really good guide. She knew her stuff. Both are beautiful cities worth exploring. The views were good the time was well spread despite of it being such a busy period between guided tour and free time. Would definitely recommend it.
