What an incredible adventure! The Levada walk was stunning and has incredible views and waterfalls. Our route was good exercise with some steep steps climbing up and down but also with a majority of flat parts. Miguel our tour guide is a fantastic person full of interesting facts and stories about the island, its folklore and what it’s like to live here. Instead of knowing about the mountains, he lives them and you can feel that when he talk about them. He took our safety very seriously and whilst the hike was challenging in parts, we never felt pushed or hurried, we could do it at a pace that felt manageable. Thank you for making a special memory for our holiday.

An amazing tour! Lovely walk and Tiago was very knowledgable and passionate about the area. He was also practical, getting us there early to avoid the bigger crowds. A magical place made more special by a good tour group and great guide! GYG should give more info though. For future - know it is colder there than in Funchal, bring a snack, your feet will get wet but will also dry out, trainers seemed best. :-)
