Full description
Enjoy a private half-day hiking trip to discover the Levada da Silveira, one of the oldest levadas in the country. Admire the diverse flora during this magnificent walk, along one of Madeira’s least visited waterways. Get picked up from your accommodation and drive to the trailhead to start your tour.
Follow the route of the levada, enjoying the open spaces and fantastic views. Walk through the municipalities of Santana, São Jorge, and Ilha, passing through a tunnel along the way. The walk ends in Ribeira dos Arcos, where you’ll stop for a break and to swim in a small lagoon, before returning along the same path.
