On this tour we tried for example… 1) Madeira Chocolate 🍫 2) Bolo do Caco (garlic bread) - almost every restaurant has it 🧄 3) Poncha - our favourite was the Traditional (orange) one or Pescadores (lemon) 🍋 4) Exotic fruit - pitanga surprised us! Or their hybrid of banana and pineapple 🍍🍌 5) Fortified wine - we enjoyed the tasting at Blandy's 🍷 6) Scabbard fish - either with banana or passion fruit 🐟 7) Local beer - Coral is one of their popular ones, not bitter 🍻 8) Bolo do Miel (honey cake) - very Christmasy flavour, tried ours at old sweet shop 🍯 . Matt, the guide was knowledgable and would answer all our questions 👌
it was excellent. we enjoyed the tour and love talking and listening to the guide. hope to do a different tour in the future. 😁
