The morning started with getting picked up from my hotel which was very convenient as it was far from the area where usually tours pick up. The driver and the guide for the day was Bruno. He was excellent and had a great sense of humour. He made the trip perfect with a good mix of sights and enough time to take pictures and enjoy the views. Bruno was awe-inspiring in the way he switched between English and Portuguese to cater for the travellers of the day. All in all, it was a great day out and next time I visit, I will definitely book the tour again.

Although the weather wasn’t great Porto Moniz as stunning. Roberto was a good guide and looked after us very well. Restaurant he recommended for lunch was lovely. Really interesting tour.

Full description

Escape the hustle and bustle of Funchal on a full-day scenic tour of the west of Madeira. Admire the unspoiled natural beauty of the area and visit the charming village of Porto Moniz.
Following pickup from selected hotels in Funchal, pass through the traditional fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Continue to Cabo Girão Skywalk, Europe's highest cliff skywalk at 589m.
Next, head towards the Ribeira Brava and go north through Canhas to the Paul da Serra plateau where you will cross a mountain pass, and witness the rugged beauty of the north coast, where Atlantic rollers deposit white surf on the cliffs.
Visit the beautiful village of Porto Moniz and take 1 hour for lunch, as well as time to admire the volcanic swimming pools.
We continue to the village of Seixal, where you'll be greeted with the Bridal Veil waterfall and then on to São Vicente before making our way back to Funchal.
