With pick up and drop at your accommodation*, enjoy a Self Guided hike and visit the one of the most famous walk in Madeira: 25 Fontes and Risco Levada. Our schedules allow you to "skip the line" and have the path almost to yourself, during the first hours. Program: The guests are picked up at their accommodation to join a shared transfer (up to 8 guests per van), in direction to the 2nd famous hike in Madeira - 25 Fontes in Rabaçal (beggining). The hosts provide hike instructions and map explanation, with schedules. You will have 5 hours to do both paths "25 Fontes" and "Risco", ending at the cafe - Casa do Rabaçal. The pick up and drop of locations are the same (parking lot). The day before the hike, you will receive (via email or WhatsApp) the exact pickup time and a weather forecast, in order for you to be as prepared as you can be. During this 2 day tour, from 9AM to 5PM each day, you will have the change to experience the best of Madeira. Here are a few highlights that you will discover - Cabo Girão: Our first stop, we travel up to the magnificent 580m high, glass balcony view point of Cabo Girão, famous for being the highest in Europe and second highest cliff in the world. - Ribeira Brava: Traveling along the coast of the island we soon arrive at the village of Ribeira Brava, where we can visit a church dated in the 15th century. - Madalena do Mar: Next we make our way to Madalena do Mar, a smnice visit throught the lush green banana plantations. - Fonte do Bispo: From an altitude of between 1300-1500 meters we find the tourist attraction of Paúl de Serra and it's initiation of several levada walks that connect to different points of the island through the Laurissilva forest. - Porto Moniz: Home of the largest volcanic natural pools of Madeira. On our decent towards the town we can enjoy fantastic views, especially those of the volcanic pools in their entirety. Lunch stop / free time, about 1.30 to 2 hours stop. - Seixal: Next we enjoy a brief stop in Seixal. Along the way, we have the pleasure of passing several waterfalls, particularly the famous and stunning Bridal Veil waterfall. - São Vicente: Thereafter we visit the picturesque neighbouring village of São Vicente, where you can visit a beautiful church dating from the 17th century before returning to Funchal. - Câmara de Lobos: Situated 5km from the city of Funchal, our last stop is the quaint and famous fishing village of Câmara de Lobos; a favourite painting spot of the late Winston Churchill! - Cristo Rei in Garajau: Situated in one of the most surprising places on the Island of Madeira, the statue of Christ the King of Garajau is one of the most emblematic monuments on the east coast. - Machico: A historic city, it was here that the first settlers loved in 1420 and Funchal only became the capital in 1508. - Ponta de São Lourenço: Ponta do Rosto, the easternmost point of Madeira and is a natural reserve with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and spectacular rock formations; it is a unique landscape very different from the rest of the island. - Porto da Cruz: A small village located in the North Eastern part of Madeira, an ancient rum distillery testifies the importance of sugarcane for Madeira. - Faial: A small and picturesque village on the northeast coast of the island that was named after a local beech tree. The colonizers arrived here only in 1519 and were mostly of Moorish and Galician origin. - Santana: Santana is a charming village on the northeast coast of Madeira, well known for its colorful, thatched, triangular houses. Lunch stop / free time, about 1.30 to 2 hours stop. - Ribeiro Frio: Ribeiro Frio is a natural park located in a deep valley in the north of the island surrounded by mountains. - Pico do Arieiro: Pico do Arieiro is the third highest peak on the island of Madeira, with an altitude of 1818 meters. The views are fabulous, with clouds hovering over the fantastic rock formations - an impossible scenario to describe.

Enjoy the warmest place of Madeira and what is has to offer. The southwest is the point less visited by foreigners, making all the viewpoints unique. You can admire the lovely scenery freely there without the crowds of tourists around spoiling it. You'll start at Campanário, with tiny 2-way roads making for great adventures. Once at Ponta do Sol, you will take an off-road track up to the plateau which sits at 1,500 meters. This track will see you passing by green mountains, all of which are covered with forests. Following that, stop at Prazeres where you have the option to taste home-made dishes which pack plenty of flavor. You'll then make your way down to the villages near the coastline, where charismatic fishing villages create a contrast with the colors of the sky and mountains. You will see old terraces where people still work with their hands in the production of bananas, sugar cane, and subtropical fruits.

Travel the old roads to discover sea and mountain views on the western coast of Madeira on this tour to Calheta. Enjoy scenic viewpoints, plenty of photo opportunities, and stops for tasting local food and drinks. Along the tour, take in the views over Câmara de Lobos and Cabo Girão, followed by Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Madalena do Mar, and finally Calheta. Discover places only known by locals and learn information about the spots you visit. There will also be stops in between for optional snacks and drinks. The Southwest tour first stops at Ponta Do Sol, the sunniest part of the island. From this coastal town, you'll continue to Moledos, where you can enjoy the magnificent view over the fishing village of Madelena do Mar. Next stop: Calheta, with its artificial sand beach and sugar cane factory. At Prazeres, you'll visit the Prazeres Educational Farm (Quinta Pedagogica dos Prazeres), housing various animals as well as an array of aromatic herbs. At Ponta do Pargo, discover an incredible lighthouse built in 1922, with the most unique part of the island as your backdrop. In Paúl do Mar you'll find a traditional fishing village which also happens to be a great spot to surf. From the viewpoint above, you can also enjoy the fabulous scenery over the mountains and the Atlantic. 'Ever-pretty' Jardim do Mar is one of three pebble beach villages: Portinho, Enseada and Ponta Jardim. These beaches attract locals and visitors alike in search of the beauty and calm of a natural environment. Tour finishes at Madelena do Mar, a tiny fishing village overlooking the sea cliffs of the southeast coastline. The location and climate help make this the largest banana producing area on the island.

Next, pass through the forest, mountains, and valleys until you reach the Loch of the Moor with its unbeatable view of the valley of Encumeada and Serra de Água. Go through Bica da Cana, Paul da Serra, and Fanal, with more views of the valleys and mountains. Upon reaching the village of Ribeira da Janela, see the northwest coast of the island. Descend to sea level to visit the coast and enjoy the ocean view. Then, go to Vila do Porto Moniz to stop for lunch and perhaps enjoy swimming in the natural pools. In the final part of the tour, leave Porto Moniz for the Village of Seixal and visit the waterfall of the Véu da Noiva. Continue to São Vicente before ending the day with drop-off back in Funchal.
