What to Expect
Discover the historical sites of Jerusalem on a full-day private tour, with round-trip transfers from the Dead Sea or Amman. Following a hotel pick-up, transfer by bus through the border formalities at Allenby Bridge (King Hussein Bridge) over the Jordan River. Once across the border, your driver and guide for the day will be waiting.
Continue to Jerusalem, driving to the Mount of Olives for panoramic views of the domes of the Old City. Then, go to the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the mount, where the disciples of Jesus slept the night before his crucifixion. Next to it lies the Church of All Nations, built between 1919 and 1924, with funding from 12 countries.
Once in the Old City, walk to the Wailing Wall. Continue to the Cardo, built by the Romans during the reign of Hadrian. Follow the route Jesus is said to have taken to his crucifixion on the Via Dolorosa. Then, marvel at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Christian Quarter of the walled city.
Continue to Mount Zion, site of King David's Tomb, and see the Room of the Last Supper, where many New Testament events took place. Transfer back to the border in the early evening, for a drop off in Amman, the Dead Sea or Queen Alia International Airport.
