Unique experience! Tickets were sent to us early and with this everything worked without any problems. Bus tickets from Agias Calientes to Machu Picchu can easily be bought on site. The place is spectacular, but you must be very well advised with your travel agent because you have to make sure you have the train tickets to be able to buy the entrance to Machu Picchu or you run the risk of not being able to arrive at the stipulated time for entry to the place. ,

We climbed Machu Picchu mountain. It was beautiful but we were too tired and had altitude sickness to visit the ruins afterwards. Once you had descended the mountain and arrived at the plateau of the ruins, it was impossible to visit directly, you had to go down even lower, take a guide and redo the queue to access the site and go back up. Seeing all these stages with our fatigue, we decided with regret not to visit the ruins. Recommendations: take a few days of acclimatization, chew coca leaves, take medication against altitude sickness. It is very expensive to visit with the train, bus and shuttle ticket. As you have to get up very early if you leave Cusco, it may be better to sleep in Aqua Calientes. Touristy but very friendly.
