What people are saying about Luxor

Excellent day trip such value for money!

Excellent day trip and value for money, a full on itennery but truly making the most of the day. To start the day at 5am our driver was lovely, very helpful and we had plenty of opportunities to stop along the way. On the way back he even treated us all to a sugar cane drink just perfect at the end of a long hot day. On arrival into Luxor we met our guide, was just 3 of us so gave plenty of time to ask questions and be able to listen to all of his information was very informative. Be sure to take plenty of Egyption poinds to valley of the kings was an extra 300 Egyption for a photo pass and although the trip included the cost of visit to 3 tombs for an extra 250 egyption per person you can visit king Tutankhamun tomb so worth it in my opinion. After lunch we also had the option for 200 egyption to enjoy a 45min Nile cruise rather than the bus to the next temple visit again this was a lovely add to the trip. Overall excellent I cant fault it in any way and would highly reccomend

A Long Day Into An Amazing Ancient History

A 5.00am pick-up from the Hotel and an 8.00pm return we were ready for, but the luxury coach would never be any dictionary's definition of 'luxury'; it was nought but a large mini-van, cramped without leg room. The experience was good but uncomfortable enough for my wife to want to cancel our trip to Cairo/Giza but thankfully we didn't . The van stopped several times at watering holes which were welcome not expensive and much needed. The drivers one for the journey and one for the return, were amazing. I thought I had seen madness on the roads, in Italy and Sri Lanka particularly, but Egypt drivers are the most crazy; 4-lane highways made into 6 lanes or more by cars over and under taking within a hairs breadth of each other. The tombs are low and mostly impossible for anyone with disabilities. Tut Anhk Kamun's is most famous, least impressive. The Temple at Karnak took my breath away, wonderful, amazing, fantastic, words that don't come close to describing it. A must-do trip

Our Day with Hoda was EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!!!!

She was very considerate in planning our tour day in relationship to the heat. We never felt rushed nor pressured during our time with her. We were told back at our Winter Palace Hotel from fellow travelers that we were able to cover 2 1/2 days of sight seeing with her in comparison to some of their one day tours in Egypt. She was thorough, confident, and an experienced tour guide of 14years with very good English and a very fun relatable personality. Not only was she a highly educated ancient Egyptologist, but also had great relevant explanations to our cultural modern day questions. Our day with her in combination with our stay at the Winter Palace were the top highlights of our trip thus far. We strongly recommend her and her driver for this day tour! The driver deserves recognition for the quality and comfort of his vehicle, as well as, his patience with us, because we took more time at each site and ran over the scheduled hours without being charged extra.

Fantastic value day tour..... but tiring!

Picked up about 15mins late in the morning although expected this as Hurghada is such a big place. The vehicle used was in good condition and the driver was friendly and a safe driver (by Egyptian standards). Once we had collected three other party's from other hotels we sped across the desert through some wonderful scenery for 4hrs until we reached Luxor. Our guide, a local English speaking Egyptologist, was enthusiastic and informative, he really made the day special. We viewed temples, monuments, rode across the Nile and visited the spectacular Valley of the Kings. The supplied lunch was ok, nothing spectacular, but edible. All in all, we thought the trip represented great value for money and would recommend. However it is a very long day trip and tiring in the heat. It may not suit the elderly or very young. Bring water for the trip, snacks etc and wear trainers or comfortable shoes. Sun cream is a must!

Outstanding, educational, & mind-blowing once in a lifetime experience

This was a great trip. We travelled with 4 children (9,7,5 & 2) and we all had a great time. The only downsides are the travelling both ways and if you are of a nervous disposition, Egyptian driving leaves a lot to be desired. Be prepared to pay out for drinks, Nile trip and tips (and everyone has their hand out) but the actual temples and tombs are well worth it. The Company added me to a WhatsApp group which kept me informed up to the trip and allowed two way communication for any queries we had. All in all an enjoyable experience and one the kids will remember.
