What to Expect
Your day will begin with a pick-up from your hotel in Luxor. From there you will enjoy a stress-free journey to the West Bank, where we will visit the Tombs of the Nobles in 5 five distinct areas on the West Bank.
Firstly, we will visit the north area of el-Tarif, here we will see large tombs dug during the late Second Intermediate Period and early Middle Kingdom. Moving on, we will visit Dra Abuel-Naga, which is just south of el-Tarid. From here we will see a remarkable hillside filled with around 80 tombs belonging to priests, rulers and officials from the 17th through to 20th dynasty.
Afterwards we will travel southwest to the area of El-Assasif, where we will explore 40 tombs from the New Kingdom and later. Then we visit El-Khorkha, a hill with five Old Kingdom tombs and 53 numbered tombs from the 18th and 19th dynasty.
We will then proceed to visit Medinet Habu, one of the least visited but major sights at Luxor, and a definite highlight of the trip. Here you can enjoy understated sights of this magnificent temple of Ramses III.
