What to Expect
Traveling through Egypt brings you face-to-face with some of man's greatest achievements. Discovering these ancient wonders with a trained Egyptologist makes your adventure that much more rewarding. Today, you'll have a chance to visit all the greatest sites and see the three most impressive temples in Upper Egypt.

Starting at 7:30 you head across the Nile to the West Bank where we arrive at Thebes. Here, in the Valley of the Kings, you can discover the tombs for yourself (guides are not permitted inside), and your guide will help point out what to see in advance. You also have the chance to visit the Tomb of King Tutankhamun, for an additional fee.

After we leave the Valley of the Kings, we head straight to the Temple of Hatsheput. This beautiful temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut is a prime example of the ancient Egyptian's mastery of architecture, and your guide will share the story of this famous female ruler of Egypt. There is time here to explore the many intricate hieroglyphic decorations.

After a brief photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, we head back to Luxor and visit the Amenhotep III funeral temple. These giant statues stand proud on the West Bank, and are all that remain of a once great temple.

During the day, there is also time to stop at an alabaster factory for some prime purchases before we head to the Temple of Karnak. This derelict place is still capable of overshadowing many of the wonders of the modern world, and you can let your imagination drift to what it must have been like when it was constructed over 4,000 years ago.
