What to Expect
Take a full-day tour of the West Bank of Luxor and visit the Valley of the Nobles and the Workers Valley in the arid landscape of the west bank of the Nile.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor, and enjoy the services of an academic Egyptologist guide, as well as transport in an air-conditioned vehicle throughout.

The full-day tour will give you a comprehensive overview of the Valley of the Queens, Valley of the Nobles, Valley of the Workers, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Habu Temple of Ramses III, and the Colossi of Memnon.

Starting at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, discover the temple to the only female ruler of Ancient Egypt. Explore the colonnaded structure of her Mortuary Temple, designed by the royal steward and architect Senemut. The unusual form is explained by the choice of its location in the valley basin of Deir el-Bahari, surrounded by steep cliffs.

Proceed to the Valley of the Queens and tour the site where the wives of the Pharaohs were buried. It contains some 70 tombs, including the tombs of princes and princesses.

Next, you will go to the Valley of the Nobles and see the 2 tombs of the nobles Sennefer and Rekhmire. The tombs contain some of the finest relief work, and truly stunning paintings that decorate the tombs of governors, viziers, and priests.

Continue to the Valley of the Workers, site of a complete village that housed the skilled craftsmen and laborers that worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Valley of the Nobles.

See small houses packed against winding streets. The workers built and decorated their own tombs at the necropolis of Deir el-Medina. Discover the 2 tombs of Inerkhau, one of the leading craftsmen of the village, and the tomb of the Ancient Egyptian artisan Sennedjem.

Continue to the temple of Rameses III. Located on the west bank of Luxor, Madinat Habu is one of Egypt’s best preserved and most interesting temples. It takes its name from the ancient word for an ibis, the symbol of the god Thoth, who has a Ptolemaic Period temple a few hundred meters to the south.

End this full-day excursion with a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the 2 massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386 to 1349 BC), hero of the Trojan War.
