Take a day trip from the port in Safaga to visit the famous sites of Luxor. See the Nile river, before exploring some Egypt's fascinating history with stops at the Karnak Temple, Hatsheput Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and many more famous sites.
What to Expect
Spend a day exploring the amazing history and scenery of Luxor, home to some of Egypt's most incredible artifacts and architecture. Our representative will pick you up from Safaga Port by the cruise ship exit door, or from your hotel in Safaga.
From there, you will be transferred by a modern air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, approximately 3 hours away from Safaga. Upon arrival, we will head to the Karnak Temples, the largest place of worship ever built and one of the most remarkable examples of ancient religious architecture in history.
After lunch, you will move into the West Bank of the River Nile to visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), and then visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs of the ancient kings were discovered.
Those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, and were richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs. We will then continue the tour with a visit to the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary.
After visiting Luxor's amazing historic sites, you will be escorted by your guide back to the cruise at port of Safaga.
