Travel back in time to the age of Ancient Egypt on a full-day sightseeing trip in Luxor. See royal tombs at the Valley of Kings and stop at the Karnak Temple, believed by some to be the place of creation. Visit significant temples like Luxor Temple and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut.
After pickup, start by visiting the Valley of the Kings, famous for its royal tombs. These beautifully painted tombs have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. For over a thousand years, the kings, and nobles of the New Kingdom were buried in this valley (2 hours).
Then, head to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. The temple is considered one of the greatest examples of architecture from the ancient world (1 hour).
Next, pass by the famous Colossi of Memnon and listen to the story behind its name (30 minutes). Continue to the east bank to the Karnak Temple, which was believed to be the spot where creation began. They also believed it was a point of interaction between the god Amun-Ra and Egyptians (1 hour).
Later, stop at the Temple of Luxor. This site was constructed over hundreds of years by Amenhotep III, Ramses II, Tutankhamun, and other pharaohs. Luxor Temple was the largest and most significant religious center in ancient Egypt (1 hour).
