What to Expect
After you are picked up from your hotel, start your full-day Luxor tour by visiting the monumental Karnak Temple. Dedicated to the God Amon, and part of the ancient city of Thebes, Karnak Temple is home to numerous Sphinx statues and carved columns. Your knowledgeable guide will provide insight into the incredible history of Luxor and Thebes and its many monuments.

Next, visit the ancient Egyptian Temple of Luxor. It was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and was completed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty. Originally dedicated to the Egyptian god Amun-Ra', the temple sits on the banks of the Nile River and contains colossal statues of Ramses II.

Your guide will then take you to the Valley of the Kings to see the magnificent architecture of this burial ground of Pharaoh kings. The most well-known tombs are those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, King Ramses VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II.

Following a local lunch, continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt during the 18th Dynasty. The monumental temple was built by Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh to have reigned in ancient Egypt.
