On 22.04.2021 I made this trip together with my fiancée. In a small bus we were brought from Hurghada with three other participants to Luxor. There we met our tour guide Nana at the first stop, the temple of Karnak. After that we had a ride across the Nile and then lunch. In the Valley of the Kings we visited four tombs (and learned to appreciate the work of the builders even more, as we got to know about the merciless heat in the Valley of the Kings). These first two stops were especially interesting to me. But the rest of the day was also worthwhile. Nana was a very sympathetic and knowledgeable tour guide. She made the day a wonderful experience!
Our guide Ahmed Abass was wonderful. His knowledge of the ancient Egyptians is exceptional. He was friendly and accommodating, slowing the pace of the tour to suit our needs. He was full of helpful hints and cannot be recommended enough. The cruise was good. Apart from a few minor niggles like a poor aircon and the odd smell of diesel when the boat is still it is a good experience. It does need more sail time as your are sat in Aswan and Luxor for a full day and a half each. The food was good, combining Egyptian and western well. The transport to the sights are all in modern cars.
What a great experience! Everything was very well organized, with hotel pickup to being met by our guide as we arrived in Luxor at the Karnak temple. We had an amazing time exploring Luxor with our guide Adel. We had booked the tour in German and he provided us with great insights to each site we visited and was extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a great day where we learnt a lot and enjoyed it very much. For anyone looking to do the tour in German we can highly recommend Adel! It is a long day (ca. 14 hours) but very much worth it!
The driver was very punctual at the hotel reception at 5 a.m. He was a very good driver, knowing every details of the road by head. We felt very safe with him during the whole trip. The local guide, Mohammed, was a fantastic guide, well prepared, with a huge lexical knowledge. We learned a lot from him about the history, hieroglyph writing. We always had a lot of time at all location, stops.
What a wonderful day! Yasser our guide was excellent-he had fantastic knowledge of the sites and was clearly very passionate about Egyptian history. He paced everything just right, never rushing us or keeping us for too long. Brilliant day, I would highly recommend! P.s. a tip-don’t buy the add ons to the trip online-you can buy these on the day for a fraction of the price!
