What to Expect
Day 1: Arrival Luxor, Visit to Karnak and Luxor temples

Welcome Luxor, Egypt (Around the clock) A local representative will meet & assist you at Luxor airport, Rail station or hotel. and then, escort to your Nile cruise to check in for 5 days 4 nights, Lunch on board the cruise.

Afternoon, Your Cruise Tour guide will be glad to start your tour with a visit to Karnak temple, On entering the Karnak temple, you will see each legacy left by the various pharaohs as the complex grew even larger. The deeper you go into the complex, the further back in time you will travel with the oldest ruins dating back over 4,000 years ago.

Continue to Luxor temple which was once joined to the Karnak temple by a three-kilometer long avenue of sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to Luxor temple. It is a pure Egyptian temple has survived Nile floods, foreign invasion and thousands of years exposed to the elements.

In addition you will have the chance to visit a perfumery factory and purchase genuine essence items if you wish. and then back to your Nile cruise & Overnight

Day 2 – Luxor West bank tour – Sailing to Edfu

After breakfast, The Cruise tour guide will be glad to start your tour crossing the Nile River to the west bank. You’ll visit the necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes.

Arrival at the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of the kings of Thebes (ancient Luxor); you will visit 3 tombs of the most famous pharaohs of Egypt’s new kingdom, who ruled for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century B.C. Your guide will tell you what to look for inside the elaborately decorated tombs. If you wish to visit king Tutankhamon and Ramses VI tombs, an additional cost is payable direct.

Proceed to visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. the famous female ruler of Egypt who posed as a male to gain the throne. There is free time to explore at your leisure as you wander the large courtyards and admire the intricate hieroglyphic decorations.

Returning to Luxor there will be time for a brief photo stop at the two colossi of Memnon. These two giant statues standing tall and proud on Luxor west bank are all that remain of the ancient funerary temple of Amenhotep III.

In addition you will have the chance to visit an alabaster factory and purchase genuine items if you wish. Then transfer back to your Nile cruise. Lunch & Free time on board. You will cruise to Edfu via Esna. Enjoy your afternoon tea out on the sun deck. Overnight in Edfu

Day 3 – Edfu and Kom-ombo temples – Aswan

After breakfast, it is time to visit Edfu temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus and considered the best preserved of all Egypt’s temples. The dramatic temple dates from the reign of Cleopatra VII and was built of sandstone between 237 – 57 B.C. See the gigantic granite statue of the falcon god in the main courtyard and at the entrance. Explore the inner sanctuary and learn more about one of the most significant deities from Ancient Egypt.

Back to your Nile cruise and continue sailing to Kom ombo, visit the unusual double temple dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus, located on the east bank of the Nile. Kom ombo temple was built during the Ptolemaic dynasty with additions during the Roman period. While much of the temple has been destroyed by the Nile flood, the ruins are spectacular and some of the 300 crocodile mummies discovered in the vicinity are displayed inside the temple crocodile museum. Your guide will explain the fascinating history of Kom-ombo during your tour. Then, depart for the scenic sailing to Aswan and overnight in Aswan.

Day 4 – Aswan day tour – Felucca Nile sailing

After Breakfast, start your tour with a visit to Aswan high dam, crossing the old Aswan dam along the way. The high dam contains 43 million cubic meters of water and boasts an impressive volume 17 times bigger than the great pyramid of Giza. Your guide will explain to you the importance of the dam in Egypt.

End the tour with a romantic motorboat ride to Philae temple of the goddess Isis. The name Philae stems from the ancient Egyptian word Pilak meaning “the remote place”. The seclusion and serenity of the location provides a suitable end to the tour before heading back to your Nile cruise for lunch.
