Full description

Enjoy a 4-day cruise on the Jaz Crown Jubilee, a 5-star deluxe cruiser. Enjoy the comfort of warm cabins and bask in the view of the river Nile. Explore the history of the river and discover key locations along the way, beginning with Aswan, followed by Kom Ombo, Edfu, Esna, and Luxor.

The journey begins by departing from Aswan, a city known for a rich, local cuisine and significant cultural heritage, including local temples like Abu Simbel and Philae.

Continue exploring the Nile on the first day, stopping in the small town of Kom Ombo, situated on the East side of the Nile. Check out this agricultural town, famous for the Temple of Kom Ombo (Golden Hill).

Next enjoy dinner onboard in Edfu, an ancient settlement on the western banks of the Nile between the cities of Aswan and Esna. Edfu is a quaint old city possessing the remains of ancient Egyptian pyramids.

Notable for being the site of the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus, Edfu is home to the remains of Tell Edfu, an ancient settlement that dates back to 3000 years of history. Take advantage of the chance to visit these ancient treasures that are linked back to the Old Kingdom to the Graeco-Roman period.

On the second day, the cruise continues to Esna, located on the Western bank of the Nile. Esna was formerly part of the modern Qena Governorate. While Esna is popularly known for it’s Temple of Khnum, this farming town also has a number of other charming properties to explore.

Esna is home to many Pharaonic treasures such as the Temple of Esna, dedicated to the worship of the gods Khnum, Menhit, Nebtu, Heka, and Neith.

Along the waterfront of Esna Temple are the remains of several 19th-century houses with traditional Islamic architectural elements. Continue wandering north of the temple to explore ancient roadside inns like Wikalat Al Gidawi.

Days 3 and 4 of the cruise take you to Luxor. Characterized as the world’s greatest open-air museum, Luxor is home to the Karnak and Luxor temples, which play key roles in the narrative of Egyptian history.

This stretch of the cruise provides the opportunity to learn about how Luxor is the religious hotbed of Egypt, featuring a range of temples and a landscape sprawling across rivers, deserts, and ancient ruins.

Be sure to watch the sound and light shows, which are a must-see, along the West Bank Necropolis sites. A breathtaking experience steeped in the history of Egypt, Luxor is sure to charm with its ancient vibes.
