Following a morning pickup from your accommodation in Luoyang city, meet your private guide and hop aboard your air-conditioned vehicle. Heading directly to Longmen Grottoes. Upon arrival, take the battery bus to start your adventure. Follow your tour guide to admire the largest and most impressive collection of Chinese art of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties (316-907). The Longmen Grottoes comprise more than 2,300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs over a 1km long stretch.  Afterwards take the boat cruise to enjoy the paranoiac view of the grottoes. Enjoy a 1.5 hours ride to Shaolin Temple. Your tour guide will explain the relate histories and stories along the way, feel free to ask any questions if you have! Once arrive at Shaolin Temple, enjoy a local lunch,  then witness the real Kungfu performed by Shaolin monks at Shaolin Temple theater. Move on to explore the Shaolin Temple which was first constructed in 495 A.D. Later, Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-557) had the temple built to accommodate the Indian master Batuo. As Chinese Kungfu also originated from Shaolin Temple, it has been recognized as the origin of Chan Buddhism and the cradle of Kungfu. Stroll through the buildings and courtyards with your tour guide, gain deep insight into the history and the Shaolin monks life in the temple. Afterwards, you will explore the Pagoda Forest which is a concentration of tomb pagodas for eminent monks and abbots of the temple. There are more than 240 tomb pagodas of various sizes from the Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties (618-1911), making it the biggest pagoda forest in China.  After your tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luoyang.

The other three famous grottoes are the following: Yungang Grottoes in Datong, the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang and the Maiji Mountain Grottoes in Tianshui. There are 2,345 caves with 2,680 statues over 70 stupas and 2,680 inscribed stone tablets densely scattered along the cliffs on both banks of the Yi River. After enjoying a delicious lunch tasting local food in a well-chosen restaurant, you will move on to visit to Shaolin Temple situated in Songshan Mountain. This temple is honored as the cradle of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts, worthy of a visit if you are interested Shaolin Kung Fu. Follow your guide to witness real Kung Fu, explore the history of Chinese martial arts and visit the main sites such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Grand Hall, the Sutra Depository, the Hall of Thousands of Buddha and the Pagoda Forest. Afterwards, your guide will drop you off back at either your hotel or the railway station.

It is considered a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art with more than 100,000 stone statues varying from 2cm to 17.14m high. Longmen Grottoes extends for about 1,094 yards along both banks of Yi River and approx. 12 km far away from Luoyang city. It is one of the three most valuable Buddhist Cave and rock carvings in China. After lunch,you will pay a visit to the White Horse Temple. First established in 64 AD in Eastern Han Dynasty, the White Horse Temple is the first Buddhist temple in China. It is now a popular sightseeing destination in Luoyang thanks to the many ancient architectures, precious Buddhist statues, and tranquil surroundings. You can expect to see many Chinese and international stylized temples, precious statues, and unique sculptures here. Then drive to Luoyang City and visit to Lijingmen Street for the local culture and food. In the end transfer you back to hotel in Luoyang .
