Enjoy the fun sledge ride with Huskies in the wilderness! Learn the secrets of Husky mushing and ride the sledge of 6 huskies. Safari is around 30 minutes long (app.3-5 km) and after you hear storytelling about the adorable Husky dogs, while enjoying steaming berry juice in a cozy hut. The guided tour is family friendly. Pyhä Husky Farm is a privately owned farm in the wilderness. Address to the Pyhä Husky Farm is: Molkankummuntie 225, 98100 Kemijärvi. When you wish to arrive on your own, make sure to arrive to the farm on time – if you arrive early, wait us at the Husky Farm parking lot for the starting time. Don't be late and please do not enter the farm without a guide. Please be ready all winter clothes on at tour starting time! PLEASE NOTICE IN ALL SAFARIS! One adult needs to drive always the sledge. We always drive sledges full. In one sledge can be two adults and some children. There is of course a possibility to switch mushers at the halfway point if there is two adults in one sledge! Children under 18 year old can´t drive the sledge, but sometimes if conditions are correct our safari guides can make exception. Children under 4 year old can´t participate safaris. Unfortunately, due to safety reasons, children under 4 years-old cannot take part in the safari. Really young children body is not develop enough to handle the cold what can get in the husky sledge and also the speed and sudden stops what can happen during the safari. We have also notice that quite often children from 6 years and under start to cry for the cold feeling and they don´t understand how to handle to cold feeling. Please thing couple times would the short family husky safari be better for your child. Infant price only includes farm visit and not safari. We can´t guarantee that hole family is in the same sledge! Smaller child can sit on adult's lap, but if children are too big then we may divide family`s one adult in the other sledge, with another single customers. We will decide this on the spot how the families are divided. In case neither of the persons wish to do the mushing, a separate musher can be organised for an additional fee, but this is only in special situations and you need to book it advance with extra cost. Transportation to the farm is not included in the experience. If you wish to be add transportation, please add it during reservation. Your pickup time will be informed after making the booking. Pickups from Pyhä start about 30 minutes before the experience. Pickups from Luosto start 45 minutes before the experience. Winter clothing is not included in this experience. If you need warm clothes and shoes, make sure to add it separately during reservation process. We don´t have winter clothes at the Farm! The warm winter clothing and shoes will be given before heading to the farm. When arriving with your own car, make sure to have proper winter clothes or organize them through us in advance –

Meet your ice climbing guide at Hotel Pyhätunturi's reception, get equipped, hike 10 minutes in the wilderness and get the ice climbing going at Tajukangas Ice Fall in Pyhä. By the Tajukangas ice climbing shrine you will enjoy not only climbing in beautiful environment but also a bonfire and some hot berry beverages keeping you warm during the little breaks. All the climbers will get two proper climbs up the ice wall reaching above 20 meters. The higher you climb the better the views get! Suitable for anyone somewhat moderately fit. The Lampivaara Amethyst Mine is a fascinating travel destination all year round. The amethysts of Lampivaara hill were born 2 000 million years ago, deep in the bowels of the ancient mountains. The amethyst mine is open every day between June and September, in October and in Winter it is open from Tuesday to Saturday. During the guided tour you will learn about the geology that created the amethyst, their properties, the history of the mine and some of the uses of amethyst. After the tour, each visitor will be able to try their hand at digging for their own personal lucky amethyst! At the end of the visit there will be some time to drop by the small Amethyst Shop on site, where amethyst from the area in the form of jewellery and other decorative items is for sale.

This entry-level snowshoeing tour includes a PyhäExpress chair lift ticket to the top of Pyhä Fell (weather permitting) for the best possibly views across the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and beyond! Our guide will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of the Arctic nature, the surrounding landmarks, and the old Lappish beliefs. Pyhä Fell offers many opportunities for photographing the changing landscape and and the surrounding nature. The frosty snow starts to cover the trees up in the fell right when the first sub-zero temperatures arrive and the warm and moist air starts to rise from the valley to the top of the fell. Photographers especially are mesmerized by these fairytale-like snow monsters and the different shapes and sizes the snow creates around the trees. Depending on time of year, you may also capture the Polar night sunrise/sunset colors or halos around the sun on a frosty winter day. Camera is a must-have accessory for the Scenic Snowshoeing Tour! After visiting the top, if desired, we will walk down near the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. On the route back there are plenty to see, for example the reindeer paddock. Electrically assisted fatbike, an e-fatbike, is a game changer. It is arguably the most fun and versatile bicycle ever. Due to the wide, well-gripping tyres it runs smooth also on soft snow, and thanks to the electric power unit, an e-fatbike flattens the uphills. However, the joy of pedaling is not taken away.
