Me and my husband didn't like a headphones very much. Also the whole system of it. The guide was always looking her own way and just talking in to the headphones. We didn't feel a connection or a close relationship. The restaurant that was recommended in Bellagio was very expensive and I would say nothing special. We really had a better experiences about the restaurants on another similar trips.
It was a nice day with clear skies to do some hiking. The guide was professional and explained the history of Gandria and the culture in different languages to cater to everyone in the group. Tip: make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and for this time of the year take a light jacket with you. We started at late morning ( 10am) and it was still a little bit chilly.
Wonderful trip in the very picturesque area of lake Como; everything was really well organized and the guides were really great! They gave lots of information about all the areas we were in, tips on what to eat specific to the area, places to eat. Really useful trip and really takes out the hassle of organising everything yourself. Highly recommend it!
The trip overall was very enjoyable. The biggest negative was our guide, she struggled with English. She had a lot of interesting information she was sharing but a lot of what she said, we couldn't understand. We give her an A for effort for trying but this company really needs to have guides that speak better English.
We started in the morning with some history from Lugano, courtesy of our guide, then the group walked towards the funicular area, we took the funicular to the top of San Salvatore. Awesome views!!. There is a monastery, now a museum and 2 restaurants where you can have lunch al fresco.
