Lucerne: Mt. Pilatus Cable Car, Cogwheel Train & Lake Cruise

This tour made the whole day easier. I knew I could get to the cogwheel train on my own but the value for me was just being bussed and not having to coordinate anything. Guide was friendly and gave interesting information both directions on the bus. We went in Autumn season, and only complaint if I had one was the lunch voucher may be a decent substitute for the lack of lake cruise due to it being fall, but given the cable car was also unavailable it sort of felt like the experience should have cost a little less or had something additional thrown in. Just my thoughts. Overall, very good experience, great guide, beautiful views on Mt. Pilatus!

Spectacular ride up Mount Pilatus in a cog-wheel train. Our guide Andrea was exceptionally nice and gave us plenty information. The coach ride from Lucerne is quite short and there can be a bit of waiting around before your group gets on the train, but there's a pretty square to visit and the lake is nearby for photo opportunities to fill in any spare time. The train track is so steep, it's amazing. The journey takes you through the clouds, literally, to the sunshine and blue skies above and you'll be amazed with the views from above. Many visitors were sitting outside in deckchairs enjoying the sun! There are several places to eat too. We didn't take the boat ride and were given a lunch voucher in its place. We would highly recommend this tour.
