Full description

Depart Lucerne and journey to the magnificent mountains of the Bernese Oberland by coach. Marvel at the splendid countryside as you drive to the beautiful resort town of Interlaken in the Jungfrau region. 

After an orientation stop in Interlaken, continue to the village of Grindelwald, more than 1,000 meters above sea level. Get stunning views of the surroundings, including the peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. 

Use your leisure time to ride the funicular to the terrace of Grindelwald First (optional, not included). Go for a walk or rent a Trotti bike (a scooter-like bike without a seat) and experience the dramatic scenery from a different perspective.

Then, take a scenic - unescorted - train ride back to Interlaken, where you can spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Browse the shops or go to the Harder Kulm viewpoint by funicular for stunning views of the surrounding area (optional, not included). 

Breathe in the fresh mountain air before meeting your guide again for the return journey to Lucerne and the end of the tour.

I really enjoyed this day trip. Had plenty of time in Grindelwald to catch the cable car up to the peak and to see the glacier. The bus ride was a bit uncomfortable due to it being a full bus but I would still recommend doing this tour if your on a time crunch and want to see Grindelwald with a tour rather than trying to get there yourself

Such an amazing trip, first to Interlaken and after a 45 minute stop and some sightseeing we went on to Grindelwald with the bus. Amazing views, be sure to take a walk outside of town. You can rent a bike but an ebike is rather expensive, from 50 CHF per 4 hours and up. But besides that it was so great, it's like walking around in a fairytale. The guides also recommended cheaper restaurants and shops. But believe me, when you are there you don't mind paying a little extra. The trainride back to Interlaken is also included in the trip and it's beautiful. Enjoy it because it is truly the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
