Great value for money! Our guide on the bus provided a great commentary in multiple languages, and was humorous and engaging. The initial stop at Interlaken turned out to be a great way to orient ourselves for the self-led return back to Interlaken. Enough time for a coffee/snack and a walk around the core area before getting back on the bus. Grindelwald was fabulous and there were lots of options we did the hike up to Pfingstegg, which was a considerable effort but very much worth it. We took the cable car back down and took the train back to Interlaken for a nice late lunch on a patio watching the paragliders land in the green. The trip home was a nice chance to relax and watch the sunset. All of the provided instructions were very good, but we also had mobile phone service to assist us. The trip was a great, affordable way to see what we think of as quintessential Switzerland!
The drive and the view was beautiful. I'm both directions. But when we got to Grindelwald, a passenger had come backin and up the stairs to get something he had forgotten. It was raining and he was wet and made the steps very slippery for the remaining passengers that had not disembarked from the upper level of the bus where he was a passenger. When I came down to the last sep to go to the ground I slipped on the wet rubber last step before the ground. I fell and grabbed at the door, and pulled off the small and swung out to the ground below and landed on my right side on the wet ground in the rain. I hit my head, twisted my right wrist, and layeg there on a daze in a puddle of water. Several of the other passenger who were disembarking came out to me to pick me up and check on me. We were all looking for our gentleman lead guide. He was no where to be found. They took me over to some covered benches and we were looking for him and still he was no where to be found. It was raining!!!
