A Taste of Royalty: Cooking Class at the Former Royal Palace – Luang Prabang Taking a cooking class in Luang Prabang is already a special experience—but doing it at the former Royal Palace? That’s next level. From the moment we stepped into the palace grounds, we felt like we were stepping back in time. The space was serene, full of history and elegance, yet the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our instructor was not only a talented chef but also a natural storyteller, weaving tales of Lao traditions and royal culinary secrets as we cooked. We learned to make classic Lao dishes. Each dish was made using fresh, local ingredients, many of which we had never seen before. Even they took us local market in the morning by bicycle explaning about city, about ingredients.It was hands-on, interactive, and surprisingly fun (even for total beginners!). What made it unforgettable was the setting: cooking under the shade of royal trees, hearing temple bells in the background, and sharing a me
