You will visit the Mirador de la Montaña to enjoy an unrivalled panoramic view of mountains covered by a blanket of green, a rugged coastline full of cliffs and an original sculpture that recalls the local legend of the Salto del Enamorado (Falling in Love). La Palma: Springs Marcos y Cordero Guided Trekking Tour

La Palma: Springs Marcos y Cordero Guided Trekking Tour

After an amazing transfer by 4×4 on tracks in poor condition, we arrive at the Casa del Monte, 4265 feet (1,300 meters) above the sea. From here, with helmets and torches, we discover a spectacular environment full of lush vegetation along the old canal. You will walk along one of the most special paths on the island (PR-LP 6), which crosses thirteen narrow tunnels until it reaches the Marcos and Cordero springs. But first, you have to cross the water tunnel, where no one escapes a refreshing shower. Please note that this hike is unsuitable for everyone as there is a large negative slope, so good physical condition is very important.

'The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is'. If the tour would have been a quote, this one above would be perfect to describe the whole experience. Angelica, special mention, huge respect as our tour was on a bank holiday, was brilliant from start to finish. She is a local and you immediateley sense, that she has a special feeling about the whole island. Firgas is a nice small town with loads of history and culture. You learn some valuable information about all of the 8 Canarian Islands. The hike is really nice, but bring some hiking shoes with you, you won't regret it. My highlight was the small farm, where we were served some exceptional fresh & local food by a nice couple. To dive this deep in life of locals & taste their homegrown food, it was truly brilliant. To finish, we went to El Puertillo, it was way too windy when we were there, but it is a nice place, and with more luck with the weather, it could be fun. Overall fantastic day

Very well organized trip, efficient transport. We visit several viewpoints, a coffee break, a walk through the beautiful city with views of the volcanic pools, an opportunity to test and buy rum, a lunch break and a walk through the beautiful laurel forest. The guide tells interesting facts and recommends local meals to try. Personally, I think the group should be a bit smaller.

Angelica, the guide, is absolutely lovely, really knowledgeable and friendly, and made the experience fantastic. I enjoyed the scenery of the hike and the locally grown food was great. Do be warned; there’s some balancing involved when crossing the rivers and a bit of scrambling - but it’s definitely worth it!

The trip was very varied. Gight put a lot of effort into it. He had to lead the tour in three languages, which he did very well.
