Full description
Turn downtown Los Angeles into a giant game board with a 90-minute Scavenger Hunt for a team of up to 5 players! Urban Adventure Quest has created an interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a shorter, 1-2 hour sightseeing tour of downtown Los Angeles. Guided from any smartphone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges, while learning about local history. The Los Angeles Mini Quest starts at the Public Library and takes you on an adventure through historic downtown Los Angeles, ending in the heart of the city's entertainment center, LA Live, giving your team the chance to enjoy several food and entertainment options at the end of your Quest. Using a smartphone as the guide allows participants to start the Quest when they want and determine their own pace of play. Stop for a bite along the way or have a drink at LA Live, if you like. Offered at a fixed price for a group, as opposed to per-person pricing, this city tour/game offers a great value to those on a budget.

Important information

Know before you go

  • Your team may have as many people as you like. However, the Quest is typically best with no more than 5 players on each team. Large groups can break up into many teams and compete for the best point score and time. Each team needs to purchase a Quest with a unique email address and password.
  • You may purchase your Quest days, weeks, or months before your adventure.
  • A step-by-step process on how you can redeem your scavenger hunt code can be found on your confirmation voucher after purchase.
  • It is recommended that you bring water, snacks, money, a city map, a calculator, pencil and paper, and, of course, a fully charged smartphone.

We completed this hunt with a 7, 10 and 13 year old and they loved it! The clues were at a great level where all could participate. It took us 2-2.5 hours to complete it since we, as parents, were committed to not helping them but allowing them the joy of figuring it out on their own. It was a great way to see parts of downtown LA!

A great gals day Saturday! We'll do another!

We had a fabulous time on a gals day out! The explanation of how you get started wasn't very clear and we did have to call to verify. Julie was wonderful to help us get started! We probably wouldn't have needed to call if there was more clarity for instructions. Ours was a doubly challenging starting point because it occurred the same day as the LA County Libraries 25th anniversary celebration and they were also having a scavenger hunt.
