What people are saying about Los Angeles
Overall a positive experience and an easy way to see some of the main sights. Not much into such tours otherwise but once for a change it was OK. I took 2 full tours and a bit of a connecting one. Beware that when booking a tour, on the confirmation it will say that your start of the tour is at Chinese theater. This was a negative surprise for me as I was starting at Venice beach which is at least 2h away by public transport and this way lots of time would be lost. I decided to try and take a bus already in Venice beach and it worked out perfectly fine. Driver took my printed voucher and gave me a receipt I could use on all the following buses. I was really glad there was no complication about the starting point but this is something that GetYourGuide could clarify and make sure that it's easy for travelers to use. I believe you could start the trip at any stop and not necessarily from the Chinese theater. Also bring a hat and plenty of water, it gets really hot on the top of the bus!
The bus drivers were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the tour from Hollywood to Beverly Hills. When I arrived in Beverly Hills, I spent about two hours looking at the stores on Rodeo and Beverly Drives. The bus driver (for the bus going back to Hollywood) advised me the bus was having brake problems, but the next bus would be arriving in 10-15 minutes. I decided to go to a gas station I had seen a couple blocks back to get something cold to drink. As I paid for my soda, the cashier told me Sylvester Stallone was getting gas, and I ought to go take his picture! I got two photos of him. If the bus hadn't had brake problems, I wouldn't have seen him, so it worked out for the best!
if you want to see LA in one day it is the bes (i had a long lay over in the city) so I decided to make this tour. It was a great decision knowing I saw a LOT of thing. I would’ve probably not be able to do it by myself ( I would have to rent a car, find parking spot, pay for the gaz...) Which would have been more expensive than the tour. If you have more free time an LA I would suggest you to do it by yourself to fully enjoy the moment and take your time to walk around most of the sites. But if you are in a rush, it pretty great.
The Tour was over all good! Five different tours helps to get an overwiev about the different attractions in LA, which are many miles away from each other! The radio guide is nearl alway suited with the attraction the bus arrives, the only problem ist, that you sometimes have to wait 40 minutes for another bus and that the stations are not always easy to find!
The tour was great! Really got to see what we wanted in LA and the surrounds. Some drivers were nicer and more helpful than others. The administration staff over the phone were terrible though. They need to be trained on the cities these tours operate in.
