Upon arrival in Bampton, take a guided walking tour of the village to see locations from the TV series, such as the post office and the house where Matthew Crawley lived before he moved to the abbey. Very relaxing ride with a charming and entertaining tour guide. Gave us a lot of information and made the trip entertaining. The bus was comfortable, the village pretty and of course the castle worth seeing. We had great weather, so it was ok that there were a lot of visitors.

Lovely day out, our guide Michael was very informative and we found out more about Downton village and Highclere castle than the usual guide trips, which made it fun, would highly recommend.
