We booked the day pass and joined the queue for pre booked tickets. When the doors opened we were told our tickets weren't valid and we had to go and queue again in a separate queue for the ticket office. The tickets we had couldn't be scanned. This needs to be rectified.

My 11 year old son was fascinated by this museum; he read every thing there was on every exhibit! We could have spent all day there, having arrived at 3pm. Great museum for children; full of history, not much modern exhibits unfortunately. Also, not great sign posting so we did get lost a few times and know we missed a lot too. Will definitely return though. Some carriages were open and you can climb aboard! Never found the cafe! Good souvenir shop; would be nice to learn about modern railways there - maybe that’s to come! Do go, you won’t regret it.

Myself and my boyfriend went for his 21st birthday to the transport museum and it was incredible. Seeing all the old busses and trains was amazing, like travelling back in time. We only went together, but I would also recommend this for children, as there is a lot of things for children to do and play with. Would 100% go again, fabulous time.
