Darren our guide and our driver were very good. Darren provided interesting commentary along the way and gave useful tips on how to make the most of our free time at Dover and Canterbury. At Dover we had the option of walking the beautiful clifftop track atop the white cliffs from the carpark to the lighthouse or to visit Dover castle. Each option took about 2 hours. I opted for the former and was not disappointed. I believe those who opted for the castle spent a lot of time queuing. The time in Canterbury was partly used up having something to eat. Nonetheless, Darren's tips from the main street gave us a number of ideas to follow up on.

Darren was an awesome tour guide today. We went to the cliffs of Dover, Dover castle, and Canterbury. Prior to arriving at each location Darren gave us historical info on the area. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He was able to add value to our mini-adventures before and after we set out. We really appreciated the trip.

We had our tour with Darren and John (driver) and it was really great! We were given the choice either to spend 2h30m walking along the cliffs or first spend 45m at the cliff, then spend 2hrs at Dover Castle. We chose the latter as there is an event at the Castle. I felt there was enough time to explore both places, first at the cliffs if you just wanted to take pictures at the intersection of the trails where the viewpoint is, 45m is enough. At Dover Castle we had to pay £30 (additional £7 from the normal price because of the Knights Tournament taking place) but it was well worth it. There were events such as archery competition, fire shows, and you can talk and watch demos by vikings, blacksmiths, etc and still have time to explore the castle. Then we went on to Canterbury where Darren kindly led us through a walking tour and we had about 2hrs by ourselves to walk around and explore. We saw the cathedral and saw the famous Westgate Gardens from Tiktok. Overall would recommend!!
