Full description

Enjoy a full day out at Kew Gardens, London’s largest UNESCO World Heritage Site, located just 30 minutes from central London by Underground and Overground trains. Your ticket includes entry to 326 acres of gardens, 3 art galleries, a treetop walkway, and Kew Palace.  Step inside Kew Palace and explore a beautiful royal retreat comprising the bedrooms of princesses, an intimate dining room, and the newly restored Georgian Royal Kitchens. The site includes extensive gardens under glass that support a variety of plant life year-round.

See the giant lily pads in the Waterlily House, then experience an exotic rainforest in the Palm House. Travel through 10 climate zones in the Princess of Wales Conservatory.  Other highlights include the Arboretum. Standing at 17 meters tall and constructed from 170,000 aluminum parts and 1,000 LED lights, the Hive structure mimics the visual and sound effects of an actual beehive in Kew Gardens.

Learn all about the extraordinary life of bees, and the vital role they play in the health of the planet. Round off your visit at one of the site’s cafes and restaurants that serve hot meals and classic afternoon teas (not included).

Beautiful place. Unfortunately not much point arriving after 4pm as all the exhibits and conservatories close at 5pm. Much better to arrive around midday so you can fit most of it in. I got a boat in which only travels at certain times due to tides and low bridges, perhaps better to travel via bus and tube.

The Kew Gardens are a great place to see and learn about plant life from all over the world. You can visit multiple glass houses of different climates with all kinds of plants. From waterlilies to big palms, orchids, ferns, carnivorous and many more. Outside you can see all kinds of big trees, take a walk through the tree tops, walk through a big rock garden and see different buildings like a big Pagoda or a Japanese Minko House. There is enough to see and do even when it rains because of everything inside.

Excellent. Despite being the middle of the summer holidays, there were no queues, there was plenty of space to enjoy the experience without feeling crowded or rushed. Even the kid’s garden felt like there was room for everyone. I’d highly recommend it for a family day out.
