After a short briefing by a Beefeater, there was a short morning ceremony to open the gates. Then we went to the crown jewels and because the tower is still completely empty at this point (great atmosphere), you can drive past the jewels as often as you want and with an unobstructed view. The supervisors are in the mood for a little chat and are happy to answer questions. Although my niece wasn't in the mood to visit the museum that day, she really enjoyed the interactive exhibit in the White Tower. She even helped Henry VIII put on his armor and how to use a cannon. Our guide Rachel did a great job. At the agreed meeting points, she provided us with interesting facts and answered questions, brought us to the next point and gave us the opportunity to go on a journey of discovery ourselves, but was always there for questions.

An excellent visit to the Tower with a very knowledgeable guide who provided information and at the same time allowed the tour group to explore on their own. To see the Ceremony of the Keys was a bonus. To be able to spend time in the Crown Jewels display before the general opening times was really good.

Being able to access the Tower early and see the ceremony was great! It's pretty neat being the first people inside (especially for the purposes of seeing the Crown Jewels). I think this would be especially valuable in the summer months when the lines can be extremely long. Really enjoyed having a guide to provide information and insight. Our guide was perfect for what we wanted.
