Our guide (Shirley? sorry, not sure about her name!) was excellent! She was very polite, well informed and she transformed the abbey and made it come alive as she recounted historical stories and details about the abbey's history, the kings, queens and important people who are buried there, it's architectural designs and differences and so much more! It was truly a pleasure to hear her talk about the abbey's history. One could tell that she is passionate about the abbey and its history!
Sue was an exceptional guide. She was well versed in the history of the palace, important areas to view and the numerous luminaries residing in West Minister Abby for all eternity. It was gratifying to visit this historic place in close proximity to the Queen’s funeral. To walk in places QEII frequented across the span of her life from wedding to funeral. To experience the enormity of the treasures residing there - all unseen from televised views of the main isle shown in important State events. Sue guided our outside tour of Parliament - which was closed for inside tours during our time in London. Again, Sue made the visit educational and interesting! I highly recommend Get Your Guide and the individuals providing services on its behalf.
