Full description

Take in the zoo's biggest experience, Land of the Lions, to get closer than ever before to the mighty Asiatic lions – of which only 400 remain in the wild. Explore walkways covering the 2,500 Indian-themed exhibit.

Exchange your voucher for a ticket at the pre-paid ticket desk and head into the zoo. Come face-to-face with one of nature's most awesome predators in Tiger Territory, learn about the natural behaviors of Sumatran tigers, and discover the conservation issues these creatures face in the wild.

Then, discover the new features added in 2021. Head to Tiny Giants, a celebration of all things small but mighty and the sometimes strange but always wonderful world of invertebrates. Enjoy the unmissable, brand new coral reef tank and watch schools of fish, including clownfish and blue tangs.

Next, visit Giants of the Galápagos, which opened in October 2021. Soak in the Galápagos climate and discover three Galápagos giant tortoises who can live for over a century. Imagine how the world might change in their lifetime and learn how we can protect them – and our planet – for years to come.

Head down to the beach to watch the colony of Humboldt penguins dive, swim, frolic, and feed in England's largest penguin pool, complete with underwater viewing windows. Next, step Into Africa to observe the elegance and grace of the giraffes before moving on to the magnificent residents of Gorilla Kingdom.

The booking and redemption of the ticket on site worked wonderfully. The zoo is basically very nice, but the different routes are confusing, so that in the end you have the feeling of having missed some things. Currently there are only days old tiger cubs to be seen, so it is worth the visit.

Getting there early is best to avoid a lot of the crowds and can see the animals better. Heard three of the talks. Tigers, hunting dogs and giraffes. All were good and informative. Ate in the resturant. Food was good only problem is the pigeons keep coming in. Not great. The staff did their best to get them out.

Our trip to the zoo was in January so trees. bushes were not in bloom so everything looked muddy and bleak. We saw the giraffes, zebras, lions and tigers. mind you concerned, the tiger was just pacing around in a small area over and over. Never saw the gorillas must of been hiding, I thought the zoo was ok however needed a spruce up. more information pictures dotted about . When going into the dark rooms to see the bats and other animals it would of been good to see pictures information over the walls instead of dingy corridors. Over all, think an up lift is needed the plants in the underground looked fake plastic. Staff didnt look to happy around and about.what a great job to have I'd be beaming.
