I loved how it accidentally became a private tour. Lesley was an amazing guide and we had a lovely morning and afternoon with her. We also learned SO MUCH! My only complaint, if any, is that it ran a little long. I’ll try to give more open time buffers next time. Otherwise, this was a highlight of our trip and one of the best days in town
Lesley, my tour guide was fabulous. She is extremely knowledgeable. She tailored the tour to my interests. She took me through Borough Market, the largest and oldest fruit and public meeting place, the original site of the Globe Theater, the Anchor….the oldest pub in London, the Southwick Cathedral where Shakespeare’s youngest brother is buried. She gave me the history of the Globe theater and what London looked like in Shakespeare’s time. She gave me the demographics of London at the time of Shakespeare. We were able to see part of a rehearsal for Macbeth. We visited the gift shop and the permanent Shakespeare museum in the basement of the Globe Theater. This was a dream come true for me! I loved this tour. I would highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Lesley!
