was great experience being in all museums in one day, saved me from planning an exact schedule
What an excellent experience! We bought a day pass including Cutty Sark. We went to the Royal Observatory then onto Flamsteed House to see among other things, John Harrison’s clocks. Every single display in both buildings were worth stopping and viewing. As a result we spent quite a few hours there, went to the Cafe for a quick bite then started walking to the Cutty Sark through the beautiful grounds. The Queens House (free) was on the way so we went in and took more time viewing fabulous paintings and artworks currently on display so by the time we arrived at the Cutty Sark it was too late to gain admittance. In retrospect we should’ve bought tickets for the Observatory experience only and spent the balance of time on free entries, The Queens House and Maritime Museum. An option if you only had the one day and wanted to visit the Cutty Sark, is to go first as it is a much shorter experience. Overall it was a day we wouldn’t have missed for the world!!
