A great way to get out to the Emirates cable car. You get to see many of the sites of London from the river on the way, hop on and hop off at your own pace. Toilets on the boats, refreshments available. The cable car was a really good experience, a return tickets gives you the chance to see everything again as it’s only a 10minute trip or so over the river. You need to spend time reading the specifics of how to get your ticket. It’s important to print your voucher then you can exchange it for the tickets which permit travel. I had to use the chat function to get clarity on what to do.

We had our 6 year old granddaughter with us and we caught the Uber boat from Embankment pier to North Grenwich. It took a while with lots of stops and she got a little board. The Emirates cable car was fun, but the journey back had a long que and took a while before we were able to get on the capsule, but it was fun. We returned and got off at Blackfriars so that we could get home quicker. Overall a good day out.

I was disappointed at the attitude of the attendant at the pier at Westminster who I presented my voucher to who said the ticket office is closed so he can’t print off my tickets. I asked whether we would be allowed to board the cable cars without the tickets, he said maybe. I asked what time the ticket office closed. He said 6. It was not 6 so I asked for them to be printed off. As he was printing the tickets a colleague of his turned up. He said to the first person he should not print the tickets as it is 6. I said it has only just gone 6. He did not comment. Not only had they closed the ticket office early, but then to have this second person saying don’t print the tickets to his colleague was unreasonable. The boat ride and cable cars journey was a great experience. A big thank you to a worker at the cable car office who I asked information from about best way to get to Winter Wonderland after. Thanks to his specific directions we made it there on time.
