Full description
Meet your guide and enter Westminster Abbey with fast-track access to start your tour. Learn how the Abbey was the site of royal coronations since 1066, served as the setting for 17 royal weddings, and is the resting place of more than 3,000 Britons of great historical importance.  As your expert guide brings history to life, be sure to see the most important places in the Abbey, such as Poets' Corner, a real place of pilgrimage for literature lovers. Here, over 100 poets and writers are buried or have memorials dedicated to them. Stop at The Coronation Chair in St George’s Chapel, one of the most precious and famous pieces of furniture in the world. See the statues of the Modern Martyrs, carved from limestone and represent Christians who gave up their lives for their beliefs. Also check out the Queen’s Window, a vibrantly-colored contemporary work commissioned to celebrate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Pay homage at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior, and see many more places of immense cultural and historical value on this Abbey tour.
