After meeting your guide, take a walk to Kensington Gardens. You will gain interesting insights into the history of the royal family and Britain's most beloved drink, tea.  Kensington Palace is most well known for being home to members of the British royal family like Princess Diana, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton (along with Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte). See the famous Sunken Garden before ending the walk with an indulgent high tea in the breathtaking surroundings of the Kensington Palace Pavilion. You will be served a selection of afternoon tea sandwiches which include classics such as egg mayonnaise and cress, smoked salmon and cream cheese, roast ham and English mustard, and cucumber and fresh mint. My 2 friends and I enjoyed the experience, but we thought it was rather rushed. We would have preferred a little longer having the afternoon tea. The guide was called Tom and he was very informative but he kept on about time and we felt it was not long enough

It was wonderful to learn so much from our skilled guide Simon! The tea itself was nice, with their gluten free offering being tasty but unnecessarily more basic than the regular option (for example the regular cucumber sandwiches also had shredded cucumber on top but the gf did not, and I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t be made the same). In order to have time to really look and take photos of some of the beautiful spaces (or even see some of the main features) we did need to go back into the park on our own after the tea, but that wasn’t a hardship. Just allot extra time in your schedule for doing so so that you’re not disappointed.

Doug was an excellent guide. He is super knowledgeable and made the entire walk really entertaining. He even gave us a “tour” of our food, sharing with us what each piece is. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone who comes to London. Was the most enjoyable part of my trip!
